How long should I wait after extractions to get dentures?

In some cases, dentures are made following a major tooth extraction surgery, it takes time for the gums and bone to heal properly. Conventionally denture fabrication would be started 6 to 8 weeks after extraction, however Immediate dentures can be an excellent option as well. This type of dentures is made prior to teeth extraction and are inserted in the mouth immediately after the surgery. Regardless of the option that the client will decide to go with, denture will need to be frequently adjusted and relined as bone resorption shrinks the patient’s gums.
